Good Bottles. Real Conversation.
Whether you know exactly what you want or need a little help choosing, we’re here to make finding the right wine easy.
Thoughtful Guidance
Our team brings years of wine, hospitality, and retail experience to the shop, but the goal is simple: helping you find a bottle you’ll be happy to open. We taste what we buy, listen to what you like, and make recommendations that fit your food, your budget, and the occasion.

Patrick Dubsky opened Winestone in 2007 after nearly 20 years in the restaurant business, including time as General Manager and Wine Director at Rialto in Cambridge. His background in hospitality shows in everything he does: the carefully chosen wines, the honest advice, and the personal attention customers have come to love. Eighteen years later, Winestone is still built around Patrick’s simple idea: good bottles, real conversation, and helping people find wine they’ll truly enjoy.
Dave Gansler is a longtime member of the Boston wine community and the owner of La Rosa Selections, a wine import company focused on southern Italy. After retiring from teaching neuropsychology, Dave now spends more of his time with La Rosa and at Winestone, where many of his wines have become customer favorites. His credentials include the WSET Diploma, French Wine Scholar, and Certified Specialist of Wine, but his real gift is helping people discover bottles with character, story, and a strong sense of place.
Lori Cohen brings a fresh perspective to Winestone after a long career as a Chief Marketing Officer in the tech world. A lifelong wine lover, she studied seriously through the Boston University wine program and earned her Certified Specialist of Wine credential. At Winestone, Lori helps customers find bottles they’ll enjoy and manages the shop’s social media, bringing together her love of wine, storytelling, and customer experience with clarity, warmth, and a practical touch.
Jo-Ann brings serious wine knowledge with a very practical, customer-first approach. She is on the faculty at Commonwealth Wine School, holds the WSET Diploma, and got her start in wine through retail, so she knows how to make wine education useful, not intimidating. Around Greater Boston, she is known for her “Edu-tastings” and for helping customers find the right bottle for a recipe, a meal, or a new discovery. Italian and French wines are her favorites, and she is still working toward her goal of visiting all 20 regions of Italy.
